Wine Tasmania is the Tasmanian wine industry's peak body. Its voluntary membership represents close to 95% of the island's total wine production.

Wine Australia works across the Australian grape and wine sector. It has three key functions:

  • Research, Innovation and Adoption to enhance global competitiveness.
  • Market Development to increase the demand and premium paid for Australian wine
  • Regulatory Services to safeguard product integrity and uphold the sector's reputation

Wine Australia is funded by the sector, for the sector, through grapegrower, winemaker and exporter levies and user-pay charges. Matching funds from the Australian Government target research and innovation. 

Wine Australia is a Commonwealth Government statutory authority established under the Wine Australia Act 2013.

The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry's own brains trust. It supports a sustainable and successful grape and wine industry through world class research; industry innovation and best practice; real-world solution; professional integrity and collegiality.
